Time is a Gift
Our theme "Making Time" is really not about 'making' time as Time is a gift. We don't make time as we 'take' time and use it like all our other gifts- for the good of ourselves, for the good of others and to the glory of God. We recently entered Daylight "Saving" Time, but we need to think of it as Daylight "Using" Time, every second of every day.
In the Gospel of John 7/6 Jesus in speaking to his brothers says "the time is not right for me, but the time is always for you “. The time is right for us this Holy Week to join with the Church in celebrating the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. With the Resurrection of Jesus, he enters into "Endless Day"- or eternity, a concept beyond our understanding as eternity has no 'time stamp'. We believe we will share the Life of the Risen Christ 'beyond time' by our Baptism. We need to use our time rightly toward that end by living as Jesus Christ lived and taught as best we can with the grace and strength of his Holy Spirit.
