“Simon, Simon, behold Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat, but I have prayed that your own faith may not fail; and once you have turned back, you must strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22 31:32
CHRIST the LIGHT
John: 1 4:5 "Whatever came to be in him, found life, life for the light of men. The light shines on in darkness, a darkness that did not overcome it" This Sunday is Passion/Palm Sunday. The Passion of Jesus was his darkest hour. He was abandoned, left hanging naked on a cross in excruciating pain until he died. He offered himself for us that we might have life.
There was no light at all. The light did not shine until his Resurrection on the 3rd day. When we have a dark moment, feel alone, without hope we have the light of Christ's love to shine through, believing that his light and love is not overcome and is always present to help us through all moments, light or dark. " We adore you oh Christ and we praise you because by your Holy Cross you have redeemed the whole world."
